Workers Day
Today was the Workers Day March in Cali. I spent about 5 hours waiting for it and photographing it. It started late. I photographed from the bridge near my street. There were a lot of marchers. At the end was a large group of kids in black shirts with bandanas over their faces, many carrying backpacks. Just past the bridge, many started throwing bricks or rocks and breaking the large glass window of a business. They also spray painted slogans on the walls. My bank was a block away. Employees had covered all the large glass windows with sheets of thick wood. They were protected and not broken. Banks are usually the target for vandalism.
This is my 990th post. That’s a lot.
